WORKING TOGETHER
What you can expect from me, informed by my background in research science, deep involvement in Climate and Nature Emergency action and experience in freelance communication work includes:
- Scientific rigour and accuracy whilst also ensuring outputs are clear, engaging and compelling.
- A 'big picture' approach, adapted for each audience whilst recognising the deep interconnections between crises affecting our climate, nature, health and wider society.
- Environmentally- and ethically-aware practice, striving to maximise positive impacts, ensuring I minimise negative impacts incurred in the course of my work, and respecting and crediting the work of others. See here for more detail.
- Clear communication of processes and progress, including through sharing of plans, draft work, working hours and availability, timelines, itemised invoices etc as agreed/where appropriate.
If you would like to work together I'd recommend reviewing these green and red flags for potential clients. Every working relationship is different and am happy to make accommodations appropriate to different settings, but if these broad principles seem unworkable to you then we probably won't be a good fit. If they look good to you then please do get in touch via the form below.

Invoices I issue would ideally be paid by bank transfer but where this is not possible, they can be paid by card via the button below. Please remember to include the number at the top of your invoice if using this method.
This button can also be used if you would like to make a contribution for any work that has been provided on a pay-as-you-feel basis. If you would like to do so, please indicate what the work or event your contribution is for. Thank you!
For work outside of York I will require rail fares to be covered.
